Group Used Equipment Manager

Smallridge Bros Ltd have a requirement for a full time Group Used Equipment Manager. This would be an excellent opportunity for the right candidate looking for a long-term career working for a rewarding company.

Essential Duties:

1. Develops and executes a sales and marketing plan to trade or retail used equipment at the desired margins and turnover.
2. Maintains the dealership used equipment policies and guidelines on pricing, evaluation, purchasing and inventory management.
3. Sets the value for used equipment.
4. Identifies and utilizes all channels available to successfully market used equipment such as retail and wholesale markets, internet platforms, exchange with other dealers, auctions, Deere marketing programs, etc.
5. Develops timely used equipment advertising programs/campaigns and maintains professional used equipment displays at point of sale.
6. Maintains up-to-date knowledge regarding all sales and finance programs for used equipment, features and value of competitive used equipment, as well as competitive activity in the used equipment business.
7. Communicates regularly with the Service Department to ensure any reconditioning is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
8. Assists in promotional activities such as trade shows, customer clinics and field demonstrations etc
9. Follows up with assigned customers to resolve issues related to used equipment purchased, to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of equipment sales experience.
• Familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
• A passion for Agricultural Machinery.
• Ideally, established relationships with key contacts in the used equipment sector.
• Excellent customer relationship skills.
• Ability to use standard computer applications and internet functions.
• Ability to analyse and interpret internal reports.
