Smallridge Brothers was established in 1977 when brothers David and Michael Smallridge started their Agricultural Engineering partnership.

Our Company Timeline

In the early years of the company which saw David (Bert) Shambrook join the team in 1979, Smallridge Bros were mostly involved in the repair of Agricultural machinery and equipment and the occasional sale of used tractors.
Because of their attention to detail and after-care service the popularity of their quality used tractors and services grew to a position that many of their customers thought they were John Deere dealers. Their efforts were rewarded in 1990 when John Deere approached them with an offer of becoming an official franchise dealership.
The company spread its wings to Cornwall and opened a second depot at Callington.
A third depot was acquired in Holsworthy which joined up the existing territories.
In 2018 Simon Smallridge, son of David Smallridge was appointed as the company’s Dealer Principal.
Smallridge Bros expanded their territory into West Cornwall.
Smallridge Bros opened a brand new Truro depot.

Despite the change the company has seen over recent years, Smallridge Brothers have not forgotten its roots and still recognises the importance of good service and backup. These values are how we built our trust with farmers, and how we will continue to maintain that trust.
“Keeping your wheels turning”
This is the bedrock on which the company has been built and is still the company’s ethos over 40 years later.
